Customer Review: Everything I need I need to start off by saying my watch of choice are usually analog. I own a Tissot, a Citizen, a Swiss Army. I wanted a watch that was worry free and accurate. What I needed were: 1. solar recharge 2. atomic syncronizing 3. multi band 4. Able to read weather (this thing actually predicts the weather..cool!) 5. DURABLE
I needed an every day watch and this was perfect. I was really surprised when I took it out of the box and it was completely setup and ready to go. No need to go through lengthy setups with timezones and calanders. Not only that, but I’ll NEVER have to do this to this watch. I also should note that it even syncs itself nightly. The manual suggests leaving it on a window facing south. However, Im able to just leave it anywhere in my house and it recieves.
This was also a test to see if a solar capable watch would work for me since I work in a “closed” area in a barely lit computer lab 9 hours a day and I rarely am in the light. So far, its been going like a champ after a month or so of daily use with the auto backlight on. It seems to get all the recharge it needs on the weekends when Im out. So solar test passed.
Im also not fond of big watches, and I was rather concerned this watch would look and feel big. Well, its extremely comfortable. The band is niceley adjustable and the watch is VERY light weight for a watch loaded with so many functions. Its very durable, I’ve already banged it quite a few times working around the house and on my car but this thing is indestructable. As for size, it is a bit clunky but thats the character of the watch. It in no way looks abnormal on me and I have very small wrists (computer geek here) Customer Review: Another Winner from Casio! This watch is great! It’s lightweight and very easy to read. I was a little concerned about the size due to the images I saw on the web but it’s very balanced. If you have owned any other Casio Atomic watches then this one will function very much the same as far the buttons, settings and all of that. I’m a paramedic and work on an ambulance so it gets some rough treatment from time to time, but it’s never let me down. As others have noted, it’s a rather large watch and sticks up up off my wrist about 1.5 cm’s. And it’s not particularly flashy or sexy. But it does keep very accurate time, and that, to me, is the primary function of a watch. The only problem I’ve ever had with it is the feature that activates the backlight with wrist movement. It doesn’t always work when I would like for it to, but on those occassions I can push the button to activate the backlight. I too have a wall mounted atomic clock in my home. It is amazing to watch the two change time together, down to the second. There is just nothing quite as neat as knowing that the time on your wrist watch is totally accurate. I like it. Customer Review: Great Watch But I have had this watch for a couple of years and just now it is becoming unreliable. The battery is down to low and the watch will not function even though I have tried charging this solar watch. I have contacted Casio about the problem and am waiting. Before you buy this watch do a seach on Google and and type in GW300 problems and you will see hundreds of people who have had battery problems. Otherwise this has always been MY FAVORITE WATCH !!! I find the analog and digital displays to be very readable and the backlighting is excellent and cool looking. Overall it is an excellent value and I have no reservation about recommending it to anyone looking for this style of watch and these features. I deducted a star for the following minor issues - can’t see day and date at the same time -the function buttons require an inordinately deep push -the hands occasionally obscure the LCD display -the strap doesn’t articulate so you have to lay the watch on its side Customer Review: Great watch, great value This is a really cool looking watch with full of features. Great price for what you get. I especially like the 200m water resistance, good for diving. I also like having both analog and digital display on one watch. When you got the stop watch going on the digital display, you can still see the time on the analog hands.
The only minor glitch I noticed was that sometimes, the analog hands get in the way of the digital display, like when you have the stopwatch going and it’s say, 11:05. The analog hands partially cover up the digital display, so you have to tilt the watch around to see. I guess that’s the disadvantage of having analog and digital.

1. My watch lasted 1 week past the warranty.
2. If the watch gets too much light or gets too warm it goes bad. You can’t tell if it needs recharging because the power gauge stops working. The only way to know the power is low is if it resets and looses all its data.
3. Adding phone numbers and other info via TWO buttons is a long and painful process.
4. When the watch goes nuts and looses all of your phone numbers, time and other settings, you become a little nuts yourself.
