Customer Review: inadequate charging system/faulty
I have had 2 of these watches in the last 2 yrs. After about 6 months, it started going into recovery mode, which means it needs some type of light source to charge the battery. Well, I had put it in direct sun light, 2 days in a row, 4 hrs each day. According to Casio, this is more than enough light to charge this battery. Well, it did not work out. I sent it back within warranty, they said they had reprogrammed it, or something. Got it back and within a couple months, it did the same thing. They then sent me a new watch. Now, about 6 months later, it is doing the same thing and I am basically screwed. A new watch does not come with the original warranty.
What I am assuming, is either I got back the same watch with a different, charged battery and it slowly drained because the solar cell does not work, or it need a tremendous about of light to keep it functioning. Oh yes, I did not over use the functions of the watch, and yes, I did keep it in the sleep mode, which keeps the watch blanked out to conserve energy.
My advice, stay away from this piece of junk, and probably all of Casio’s solar time pieces.

Casio Men’s G-Shock Watch #G7100-3V Customer Review: I like it
It took me a long time sifting through the details of the various Casio G-Shock watches available. None of them had all of the exact features I wanted, but I like the look and features of this one. I don’t think the 3 dials at the top are particularly useful, but it does what it says it’s supposed to and the silver case with gold face gives it a little more of a classy look that a pure outdoors tough look. Now if they made an atomic & solar version of this, that’s what I’d prefer. The atomic solar versions either didn’t display both date and day at the same time or didn’t have a comparable countdown timer or a countdown timer at all, or the alarm had less features. I like the size of it too–it is smaller and lighter than my Timex Expedition Adventure Tech Shock w/compass, and cost less. [...]
Customer Review: looks better in person
I got it for forty dollars and I couldn’t be happier. Its taken tons of abuse and only has some minor scratches. The casing is made of metal with engraved writing and brushed accents. Its also got lots of nice features, like timer, countdown, alarm, etc. The only thing that might bother some is that it is quite thick (even thicker than my cell phone).

Casio Men’s G-Shock Ana-Digi Sport Watch # G011D-7B Customer Review: Stylish, rugged and very functional
This watch has all the digital features I need and want, a unique, stylish appearance, and the dependable reliability that Casio G-Shock is known for. I get comments/compliments on this timepiece all the time, and I really like the look and feel of this watch. It’s very thick and chunky; heavy but not TOO heavy. Rugged enough for me to wear daily in my rough and active non-desk job. The amber backlight is an impressive feature, and the metal band is solid and well-made. Overall, this watch is excellent. Personally, I prefer the white face over the “trendier” colors, as white has a classier, more versatile appearance.
Customer Review: Excellent Watch
This watch is very nice looking. My husband works as the GM of the restaurant so he’s constantly slaming his hands against the pass bar when he expedites the food. He broke 2 watches in like 6 months (very expensive by the way), this watch is still going and looks like new still.

Customer Review: Great Watch!
I’ve had this watch for about 2 weeks now and I love it. It sets itself every night while it is on my arm in bed. The time keeping is perfect. It is comfortable and fits under sleeves and unlike other G-shocks, there aren’t any “lumps” to get caught on your shirt when you pull your sleeve to see the watch.

I have two minor complaints. The alarms are a little quiet. I had a non-solar G-shock in the 80’s and it was loud enough to wake me in the morning. This one doesn’t always wake me. Maybe my ears are losing some sensitivity…

The buttons are placed below the bezel which hides them and makes the watch look nice and smooth but they can be a little hard to press as a result. I frequently use the count down timer to time setting of dental impression materials, etc. and find the edge of the bezel to be a little bit in the way. Fortunately the buttons don’t require much force to push and they are very short-throw so it isn’t a big deal. I do find that I pull arm hairs when I press the buttons.

I have a skinny wrist so the band is a little over-sized for me. I also find that the curve built into the band tends to rotate the watch away from my face so I have to turn my arm extra far to read the watch. I fixed this problem by taking the band off and swapping the two pieces. Now the watch naturally tilts a little toward my face so I don’t have to twist my arm so far to read it.

I chose a G-shock because it works well for my life. I swim and dive. I need to time things almost every day. I needed a watch to be tough enough to withstand scrubbing and disinfection. This watch does the job! Solar and atomic were nice additional features.
Customer Review: Excellent Concept But Poor Execution!
What a great concept, a dress Casio G Shock atomic watch that will actually fit under your your long shirt sleeves, with virtually perfect atomic time-keeping via radio station WWV in Ft.Collins, Colorado. I thought that this watch would address all my needs, so I purchased it directly at full price ($130.00) from the Casio website. That is where the disappointment began. Buttons to set this watch are impossible to use and no matter how much pressure I would use, nothing happened. So I phoned the Casio website for technical information and they recommended that I use a small screwdriver to calibrate the watch and even that was unsuccessful. What to do? I returned the watch to the Casio online store and they promptly issued a full refund including shipping, but I was still without a watch. My solution was to purchase a Casio Atomic G-Shock directly from a local department store, so I again contacted Casio for support on where to visit. They suggested Macy’s and Sears. Our local Macy’s no longer caries Casio watches but I was successful at Sears and I found the perfect Casio Atomic G Shock watch for my needs:

G-Shock Men’s Multi-Band Atomic watch #GW5600J1

It keeps perfect time and I point it in a westward direction towards Ft. Collins, CO on my window sill every night and “exactly” at 1:00am it re-calibrates itself to perfection. Although, it does not fit under my long shirt sleeves, I will adjust and buy larger sleeves!
